Rescue Rottweiler

Today at work, a starving neglected rottweiler made itself known by reaching an all-time low and begging for handouts. For some reason I felt as though I could help this dog. I hope I am correct. After talking with the boss (Jenn), we decided to try our luck with assisting this dog back to health. After a borrowed truck ride to the Pet Clinic we wait for the up dates on her health and current frame of mind.

She is in pretty bad shape with skin, eye, nutrition, and other issues. I can only hope that she is not too far gone to be unrecoverable. Before the truck ride, she stood between my legs while leaning on one, looking at me with infection covered eyes, as if she was ready for recovery. She was so weak especially in the hind legs that she needed assistance getting in and out of the truck bed.

So here is 'Nugget' as she is allowed to pass-out from exhaustion and a healthy meal. The cool, air-conditioned room helps too. She's in line to get her shots and blood work completed. We're hoping there are no heart worm issues, considering the treatment is expensive.

Fynefold Fetching Flux

Yep that's his full name. Being a pure bread Scottish Fold, the requirement for a long lavish name is suitable.

His father is known as
Featherchase Fyne Malcolm
and his mother as
Rejinald Fiona of Fynefold.

Here are some cool shots of the little man of the house.
Sphinx Pose
Main sleeping position. Notice that you can't see his hind legs, that's his tail. Scottish Folds are known to sleep in similar positions.

A Love / Hate Relationship

Almost a year old, it appears that Flux is being tolerated by Libby, as he learns the rules of the house. But occasionally they are are both too tired to do anything.

More Baby Pics

Sucking a thumb? Well he's got a belly.Alien looking, but friendly...

This is what he uses to say hi to mommy!

Baby Gender Day!

After much debate Jenn and I decided that for this round we wanted to find out the gender of the baby growing inside her. We wanted to do something special, so we invited both sides of the family for some good'ol country cooking at Cracker Barrel. Ha!

The Wednesday prior, Jenn and I had the obstetrician write down in the card what the gender is. I asked the obstetrician how certain she was of the gender and she commented on how she doesn't answer that question. I figured she gets plenty of dirty phone calls when the incorrect examination of the sonogram photo takes place.

So here is this card that Jenn and I had to hold onto for 4 days, until Sunday, and not open it. We sure did hold it up to a light for awhile!

As 12 of us gathered around the table and place our orders the decision had to be made who would open the card. Finally my Dad, opened the envelope and turned the card toward Jenn and I, asking if we were ready.

Opening the card a picture fell out and we all agreed IT"S A BOY! Every one was excited. With all the other pregos having girls, it's nice to know his chances are high. HA!

Here is the Money Shot!

After the meal Jenn noticed the sign above our table. It is meant to be... James Dexter Weibelt it is.
